CONGRATULATIONS
to all our rowers on a great '25-26 season !
WINTER TRAINING: November '25 to February '26 (in-progress)
Rowers train indoors 3 days a week before school during the SFS winter sports season (optional; SFS PE credit given).
Spring season starts on March 2nd
January 31: ERG SPRINTS (cancelled due to weather)
Team members competed at the World Indoor Rowing Championships at Alexandria City High School in Alexandria, VA.
MARCH 2 : PRACTICES ON THE WATER (all season)
Depending on weather, the team will begin rowing on the waterfront.
Practices start March 2, 5:30 AM at the Thompson Boat Center in Georgetown, DC.

MARCH 20-24: SPRING BREAK TRAINING IN FLORIDA
The spring break training will be held in Deland, FL on Lake Beresford and the St. Johns River.
Participating students will be free to travel on other spring break plans starting March 25 (Wednesday).
APRIL 4: DARREL WINSLOW REGATTA AT THE OCCOQUAN

APRIL TBD: SCRIMMAGE WITH EPISCOPAL (VARSITY) (tentative)
This is at the Occoquan Regional Park, below the Occoquan dam. - not at the usual regatta location
Parents/guardians are welcome to attend. The address is 9751 Ox Road, Lorton, VA, 22079.
Racing will take place along the stretch of river in front of the River View Center (typically from under the Ox Rd. Bridge to where the river curves).

APRIL 25: CHARLIE BUTT REGATTA ON THE POTOMAC
On the Potomac out of Thompson Boat Center, our only regatta at home!
Mark your calendars - there will be a significant community presence & opportunities for friends/family to cheer the team.
MAY 2: VASRA (VSRC) CHAMPIONSHIPS - Day 1 - Freshmen
This is our 'Regional' championships for the novice team (Freshmen rowers) with teams from DC and VA. Top teams will qualify for racing in the SRAA nationals

MAY 9: VASRA (VSRC) CHAMPIONSHIPS - Day 2
This is our 'Regional' championships with teams from DC and VA competing.
Top teams will qualify for racing in the SRAA nationals

MAY 14-16: STOTESBURY CUP REGATTA PHILADELPHIA SCHUYLKILL RIVER
The final regatta of the season in Philadelphia. Rowers will travel up on Thursday and race Friday in time trials and Saturday if qualified for finals.
MAY 22-23 : SRAA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
This is the National level championships with all the top teams in the SRA leagues competing.
In 2026 the race will be held on the Melton Lake in Oak Ridge, TN, if a boat qualifies.
